Event one

Vessel HK TUG/LKH2882, Flag singapore; Location: Strait of Malacca

On 2024/07/15, while the tugboat was towing the barge from the port of Jurong in Singapore to Cigading in Indonesia, three small boats carrying 10 attackers approached and boarded the barge. They transferred metal from barges to their own ships. The attackers fled 30 minutes later when they saw a Singapore Navy warship nearby. However, about 30 minutes later, after the Singapore Navy ship had left the area, the boat returned to the barge to steal more metal. No injuries or damage to the barge or tugboat were reported.

Vessel Wadi Feran, flag: Egypt; Location: Strait of Malacca

On 2024/07/16, during the voyage of the "Wadi Feran", five assailants armed with knives and guns were found in the cabin. The ship sounded the alarm. A search was conducted. No one is missing. The captain reported the incident to VTIS Singapore.

Event three

Ship: Earth Harmony, Flag: Panama; Location: Strait of Malacca

On 2024/07/21, while Earth Harmony was at anchor, three knife-wielding assailants boarded the ship and entered the engine room. The attackers tied up the duty engineer. After stealing engine spare parts, the attackers released the crew on duty and fled. The ship then sounded the alarm.

Event IV

Ship: Corinna, Flag: Greece; Location: Strait of Malacca

On 2024/07/23, during the voyage of the ship Corinna, five knife-wielding assailants were spotted at the entrance to the engine room of the ship. The ship sounded the alarm and the crew assembled for a search, but no injuries were found. Marine engine spare parts stolen.

The incident has been reported to VTIS Singapore. The PCG boarded the ship at the Singapore anchorage and reported that there were no abnormal conditions on board and no attackers were found.

Event V

Ship: Berge Mauna Loa, Flag: Isle of Man (United Kingdom); Location: Strait of Malacca

On 2024/07/29, during the voyage, three gangsters were spotted in the steering gear cabin. The attackers fled after the ship sounded the alarm. The ship conducted a search and no further attackers were found. Nothing was stolen and all crew members are safe.

The incident has been reported to Singapore VTIS. The PCG boarded the vessel upon its arrival at the Port of Singapore and conducted a thorough search. Nothing was found on board. Information on the incident has been shared with Indonesian authorities.

Event VI

Ship: Thisseas, Flag: Libya, Location: Strait of Malacca

On 2024/07/29, during the course of the ship's voyage, five assailants armed with knives were spotted on the stern deck. The gangsters fled after the ship sounded the alarm. The ship conducted a search but no further miscreants were found. No stolen goods or injuries were found. The incident was reported to the Singapore vessel VTIS. Make a safe navigation announcement. The Singapore Police Coast Guard (PCG), which has been notified of the incident, boarded the vessel upon its arrival at the Port of Singapore and conducted a thorough search. No attackers were found on board. Information on the incident has been shared with Indonesian authorities.
