Scary! The 57,300-ton bulk carrier is sailing with five people on board

In the busy Straits of Malacca and Singapore waters, a shocking incident of piracy has shattered the calm at sea.

The bulk carrier WADI FERAN was in transit when it was attacked by five armed men, armed with knives and guns, who suddenly appeared in the cabin of the ship, causing a wave of panic.

Fortunately, the crew responded quickly, the general alarm was activated, and they gathered to deal with this emergency.
It is undoubtedly a miracle that no crew members were injured in this sudden crisis. The captain quickly alerted the Singapore Vessel Traffic Information System and a safe navigation broadcast was activated to alert other vessels to possible hazards.

The Singapore Navy and Maritime Security Task Force responded quickly and the Police Coast Guard boarded the bulk carrier upon its arrival at the anchorage and conducted a thorough search, but regrettably failed to locate any culprits.

This incident is yet another reminder that piracy and crime at sea remain serious challenges for the international shipping industry. Although the modern shipping industry has taken multiple measures to improve security, the threat of piracy remains. This is not only a threat to the safety of sailors, but also a huge challenge to global trade and maritime security.
